The food was good and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices, but we had to request bread as none was served. The presentation of the meals was very nice and the servings were what you would expect at this type venue. We all choice different fare for our lunches which included: Silo Soup of the Day, which was Sweet Potato with bacon bits and chives $8, Grilled Oysters Rockefeller $17, Shrimp Nicoise $15, Baby Spinach Salad $9, Parmesan Crusted Chicken w/ angel hair pasta $15, and the Lobster Roll w/parmesan-herb fries $27. They offer paper menus and have a large selection of wine offerings by the glass and by the bottle. Our waiter, Evan was prompt, courteous and efficient. The view from the window side overlooks The Dominion hillside homes. They have three seating areas with one being a partial outside terrace. We had a reservation and were seated timely. You take an elevator up to the second floor to the dining area. a lobby that has two walls with glass wine storage. Parking was not an issue and you go into.
It is located on the eastbound access road of IH10 in Dominion Ridge which is across from The Dominion. Several of us got together for lunch recently here and none of us had been here before.

The restaurant was clean, about half full with three servers moving around the dining room and outdoor tables. We attended around late lunch time on a holiday Monday. The fries were perfect and everyone was crispy, not like it had say under a heat lamp at all. The fish was cooked but not over dry, the batter crispy, gold and light. We elected to get the fish and chips as that is a standard dish. The handwritten chalkboard changes with weekly specials, today including a cornbread crusted rainbow trout. If you love seafood and Cajun seasoning, this is the place to eat at!įor being a chain this has a cozy small cafe feel. She guided us through the menu, provided us the prices to build our own boil, and was attentive and available to answer any questions we had. Overall, our experience was great because of our waitress. It’s always a good thing when you can taste the tequila!
They had a refreshing fruit taste with the kick of tequila. The mango and strawberry were my favorite. It was nice to sip on the different margarita flavors: original, mango, prickly pear, and strawberry. The red potatoes and corn soaked up the Trinity seasoning flavor and were tender. The head-on shrimp were easy to peel and plump in size.

The crab legs cracked perfectly and the meat was not adhering to the inside of the shell. A margarita flight came with the combo at no extra charge.Įverything was cooked to perfection. We got the combo with 3 lbs of crab legs, 1 lbs of shrimp, with potatoes and corn seasoned with the Trinity flavor.
You have to get many things correct in order for it to be yummy, and Smashin’ Crab has it down. DELICIOUS! I’m pretty picky when it comes to seafood boils.
