“A breakdown is a breakthrough,” Orr says. From the start, the restaurant faced challenges - the most significant being that it did not meet the expectations of customers who frequented the Lafayette original - and closed after less than a year. It’s not an El Charro reboot: the menu, team and look are all new.Įl Charro closed just nine months after 1100 Group owner Ben Seabury bought the original El Charro out of bankruptcy court and reopened it in Walnut Creek as a modern homage. The bar program will include large format cocktails - think palomas by the bucket - mezcals and house-infused tequilas. The Bar Camino menu will feature both traditional and modern reimagined Mexican dishes, with everything from tacos and enchiladas to sustainable seafood and gluten-free desserts. The restaurant group also owns Polanco, a contemporary Mexican cantina in downtown Sacramento. Shannon Orr, the chief operating officer of 1100 Group, the Oakland-based restaurant group that owns the restaurant, told The Mercury News that the new restaurant, Bar Camino, is slated to open for lunch and dinner service at 1470 N. These vegan gummies are made with pectin, dusted in sour sugar, and doused with vivid flavor. Jeff, is the greatest of all time, always able to accommodate you and share a few good stories along the way. Pucker up Camino Sours boast 10mg THC per piece, a bright, tart flavor, and tasty texture combined with terpene-tailored effects. The happy hour is great, both food and margs, better yet is their welcoming spirit. Just try and be in a bad mood after our Happy Hour, we dare you Featuring: Legendary Margaritas (frozen or on the rocks): 8.50. It's a local taco joint here in highland square. Definitely a place to which we will return and bring friends, especially to enjoy the live Flamenco Saturday Brunches/Lunches.Ever since the September closure of Walnut Creek’s El Charro, the Mexican restaurant with a 73-year history in the East Bay, locals have wondered what will take its place on the downtown corner of North Broadway and Lincoln Avenue. The hours are happiest from 4pm-6pm, Monday to Friday at El Camino Cantina Let loose with our epic drink specials, the perfect way to unwind from even the most stressful of workdays. When we were there, there was a mix of singles, couples, groups, families with children-just like the neighborhood in which it is situated. They have daily specials such as Taco Tuesdays, Tequila Thursdays, early and late happy hours. If you are a beer lover, they serve several local beers and quite a few others. Definitely a place to go for that neighborhood feel of Highlands in Denver AND if want to support an establishment that combines quality with consciousness by its practices of where it sources its ingredients, how it recycles its materials, energizes its facility (wind) etc. This is a tavern so don't expect a 5-course meal, but the food is fresh and delicious, we love that the drinks are made fresh and from fresh ingredients (yum!) ,the service was friendly, and we were made to feel most welcome.
EL CAMINO DENVER HAPPY HOUR WINDOWS
With the live Flamenco Guitarist and the windows thrown open to benefit from Colorado spring weather we felt like we were in Europe enjoying although the menu and flavors are definitely local (Mexican food/drinks). It's been awhile since a Happy Hour was this fun.We look forward to our next visit to this well run, all folks inclusive, kicked back, welcoming hotspot. We are El Camino rookies so can not dive too deep into the offerings, however the guacamole and chips along with their multiple offerings of homemade salsas will light up the experience. Try the Hysteria Margarita and the Shrimp Tacos. The beer is cold and the food (primarily a Mexican influenced fare) is warm and tasty. Neighborhood hang with everyone welcome and doing their thing.

Our second night we sat in a both by the kitchen/bar which gave us access to the warm and friendly staff and the flow of the place. Background music stays in the background, TV's on but not dominating. The room is small but comfortable and open, seating is mixed: bar stools, booths and tables. but bottom line this place is fun the food and drink are top notch the staff is engaging and we had a great time enjoying happy hour, several times now. Obviously much to learn about what goes on etc. We have been shopping, dining, snacking, drinking in the Highlands Lowell/32nd area for years. How did we miss this place? cided to try it out one Sunday afternoon and we are fans! Immediate positive vibe.
